Should I eat the egg salad sandwiches?

My brother David evaluates all funerals by the quality of the egg salad sandwiches. You call him after the funeral and ask him how it went and the first thing he tells you is that the egg salad sandwiches were great. This is the question of should I even go to a funeral or a celebration of life if I am just there for the egg salad sandwiches. At a recent celebration of life of a relative of my son's a man was dressed in black jeans white shirt came in and went immediately to the lunch table and filled his plate with food another person asked him how he was connected and he replied "no one I was driving by saw lots of cars and knew they would be serving food and that's why I'm here" no connection with the celebration of life I summed times will say I am not going to a friend's funeral because I would have too much fun reuniting with old friends and family so I don't go because it would be all about me. This also raises the question should I go to the 50 year class reunion of my high school. That is a tough one and what if no one knows me or wonders why I'm there but I did go and I did eat the sandwiches that were served and the lunch table very well provided for us by our hosts I had a lot of fun that day as I reunited with people that I worked with in this school musical the boyfriend also old friends that helped me through a very tough time in grade nine and also saying hi to people that had meant a lot to me in that time so it was great to taste the egg salad sandwiches. I think you should should go to a reunion whether school or family or a celebration of life or a funeral if you want to remember the good times and how that person has influenced your life. It probably leads to the question I really didn't like the person should I just stay away and I have done that lately where I remembered some of the bad memories I had with that person and it was inconvenient also I was busy that day and I did not go and did not eat the egg salad sandwiches.
that leads us to the second question we can evaluate funerals by the dinner table or the lunch table but should we just go to the funeral say our regards to to the loved ones and family members and our friends and leave without going to check out the egg salad sandwiches and a recent funeral I was told by another person that we did not know the people that well and we were going to go give our condolences and our memories of contact but we were not staying for the egg salad sandwiches I went into the reception hall and just have known 30 people that I have affected and they have affected me I was also also there to represent my father who was good friends with the woman that had died and the son in law worked for my father also the children where in one of the church groups and were very much involved in youth Ministry and also a very close friend of mine who was in my youth group 50 years ago Peter was also also mourning the loss of his aunt. The person that emceed and gave the devotional that day was the head of my church denomination that I served in for 12 years and he was a kid when I first met him at a baseball tournament that I organized and he was a young 15 year old volunteer helping out his mentor JohnI can't answer the question should I eat the egg salad sandwiches that is is up to you but if you enjoy them at a future celebration of life please send me a reply on my website, place4u2go.com and tell me if you enjoyed the egg salad sandwiches
